12月30日上海美达菲学校传来国际竞赛获奖捷报!本校共5位同学获得欧洲经济学奥林匹克竞赛奖项：

本次中国赛区竞赛于2020年12月5日举行，吸引了来自全国各地的110所学校的学生。欧洲经济学奥林匹克竞赛于2016年起源于捷克，由Institute of Economic Education捷克经济教育**主办，获得捷克教育部、捷克中央银行、布拉格经济学院、普华永道等**机构和著名企业支持。欧洲经济学奥林匹克旨在帮助高中促进经济学相关的教育，锻炼同学的逻辑思维、问题解决和批判性思维能力，激发同学对经济学专业的学术和职业发展兴趣。挑战内容涵盖六大模块，多维度考察学生们对经济学的理解和应用。本次竞赛设置了5类奖项。

European Economics Olympiad (EEO) China Regional Competition was held on Dec 5th, 2020. Students from 110 International schools participated in this event. The European Economics Olympiad was established in 2016 in Czech by the Institute of Economic Education. It is supported both by government organizations and multinational corporations, such as the Department of Education of Czech, Czech National Bank, University of Economics Prague, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The mission of the EEO is to improve the economics and finance education of high school students. It emphasizes developing students' logical thinking and problem-solving ability, hopes to sparkle their interest in these areas, and supports their growth and career path by connecting them with experts. This regional competition set five prizes.

上海美达菲学校一直以来非常重视学生的各项课外竞赛活动，作为本次比赛考点之一，吸引了众多学生积极报名。在竞赛辅导老师何雪琳的赛前集中培训下，同学们认真准备竞赛，最终获得了5枚奖项的佳绩。将于广州举办的2021年ASDAN全明星决赛也对我校这5名同学发出了邀约。

Shanghai MacDuffie School always emphasizes students' extra-curricular activities. As one of the EEO exam centers, many students participated in this competition. Under the guidance of the school competition coach Charlene He, students made efforts for preparation and won 5 prizes. These five winners also have received invitations for the final competition of "2021 ASDAN All-Star" in Guangzhou.

在申请的过程中，为了更好地展现学生的申请优势，除了标化成绩之外，通过竞赛提高背景实力势在必行。接下来学校将组织美国物理碗竞赛(Physics Bowl)，AMC10&12数学竞赛，商业模拟竞赛(Business Simulation Competition)等国际著名赛事，在培养学生学术和逻辑思维能力的同时，又丰富了人生阅历和留学申请背景，促进了学生的全面发展。

During the college application process, in order to show students' advantages, apart from attending standardized tests, improving their academic background through competitions is also of great significance. Next, Shanghai MacDuffie will organize various international competitions such as the Physics Bowl, AMC 10 & 12 Math Competition, and Business Simulation Competition, etc. By doing so, not only students' academic and logical thinking ability but also their application background will be improved. Finally, their comprehensive development will be facilitated.
