美达菲学校历史悠久，可以追溯到1890年，于马萨诸塞州格兰比建校。自建校以来，登山日作为传统活动之一，已经深深地融入了美达菲师生们的心中。正是通过这些具有文化教育意义的活动，美达菲将各大洲的学校连接在一起，不仅传递着学校的核心价值观以及集体荣誉感，更体现了师生们卓越的领导能力、团队协作能力以及校园精神。

The MacDuffie Schools have a long history, stretching back to 1890 and the founding of The MacDuffie School in Granby Massachusetts. Mountain Day, as one of the traditonal events, have developed over the years and are now embedded in The MacDuffie Schools, uniting the schools across continents through their shared educational culture and events. The events also serve to practically and symbolically represent the school’s CIRCLE values, Honor Code and emphasis on Leadership, Teamwork, and School Spirit.

登山日活动旨在激发学生们健康和积极的心态，同时也鼓励全体师生尊重自然，亲近自然。经过计划和考虑，我们选择了佘山作为本次登山活动的目的地。这次旅行为老师和同学们提供了亲近自然的良好机会，也让学校成为一个更有凝聚力的整体。现在，就让我们一起开始上海美达菲学校登山日的故事吧!

The mountain day promotes students' healthy and active outlook, as well as show all the teachers and students' respect for the natural environment. After thorough planning and consideration, Sheshan was chosen to be our destination. This field trip is an excellent opportunity for teachers and students to be closer to nature and become a more cohesive community. Now, let's start our Mountain Day story!

上海美达菲学校登山日活动

竞争·合作 Competition·Cooperation

红橙黄蓝四个颜色，代表着四个不同的队伍。平时，同学们与自己班的同学们朝夕相处。而在这次登山日的活动中，不同班级的老师和同学们紧密团结在同一个队伍里，共同完成目标。

All the teachers and students were divided into four houses: red, orange, yellow, and blue. Usually, students get along with their classmates most of the time. However, during the process of climbing Sheshan, teachers and students from different classes united closely in the same team to achieve the goal together.

在路上 On the Way

本次登山活动设置了登山团体奖。在比拼团体登山速度的同时，更注重同学们的安全问题，以及团队协作精神。在此过程中，每个队员不仅以自己登顶为目标，更体现出了对其他同学的帮扶和关心。

This activity set up a group award. Compared to only competing for the speed of climbing the mountain, this competition paid more attention to students' safety and team spirit. In this process, each team member not only realized the goal of reaching the top by themselves but also showed their ability to support and take care of others.

登顶：风景这边独好 On the Top

中午时分，老师和同学们在互相扶持中登上山顶。立足佘山之巅眺望远方，登山途中的疲倦顿时一扫而空。大家都绽放出了最美的笑容，不禁在心中感叹：风景这边独好。

At noon, teachers and students reached the top of the mountain by supporting each other. Standing on the top of Sheshan and looking down, the tiredness on the way of climbing was suddenly gone. Everyone bloomed with the most beautiful smile and couldn't help saying in their hearts: The scenery here is gorgeous and unique.

仰望星空 Looking up at the Starry Sky

黑格尔曾经说过：“一个民族有一些关注天空的人，他们才有希望。”立于佘山之巅，我们仰望星空。但这是我们脚踏实地，一步一个脚印的成果。

Hegel once said: "A nation should have some people who look up at the sky so that this nation will have hope." Standing on the top of Sheshan, we look up at the starry sky. This is also the result of our down-to-earth. We climbed the mountain step by step.

无论种族，性别，年龄，每个人都会做梦。仰望星空，我们追求梦想，放飞希望;脚踏实地，我们铸就梦想，稳步前行。

Everyone will dream regardless of race, gender, age. Looking up at the stars, we pursue our dreams and let our hopes fly; down-to-earth, we create dreams and move forward steadily.
