2019年3月13日至3月26日，来自美国的姊妹学校美国美达菲骨干教师Peter和Dawn来给美达菲教育集团上海铭远双语高级中学九年级到高二的学生上了为期一周的课程。期间，学生们体验到了原汁原味的美式教育课堂，同时我校教师也积极参与课堂观摩，与美达菲教师充分学习交流。

From March 13th to March 26th, Peter and Dawn, the American Macduffie teachers from the sister schools in the United States, came to our school for a one-week course for students from the ninth grade to the 11th grade. During the period, the students experienced the original American education, and the teachers of our school also actively participated in the classroom observation and fully exchanged ideas with the teachers of Macduffie.

此次课程交流，Peter主讲数学学科，在课程中善于运用体验式的教学方法，让学生参与到游戏中，将枯燥的计算机数学逻辑形象化，让人印象深刻。

During the course exchange, Peter lectured on mathematics, and used the experiential teaching method in the course to let students participate in the game and visualize the boring computer mathematics logic.

作为飞盘教练的他，同时也将美国酷酷的体育项目——飞盘运动带到了校园里。

As the ultimate Frisbee coach, he also brought the American cool sports, the Frisbee sport, to campus.

在午休时间，同学们开始兴致勃勃地玩起了飞盘。

During the lunch break, the students began to play the frisbee with great interest.

Dawn作为美国哈佛大学毕业的博士，这次给同学们带来了精彩纷呈的英语课，对日本文化与亚裔文化有造诣的她，在课堂上结合中美与其它民族的文化差异，拓展孩子们的视野。

As a Ph.D. student from Harvard University in the United States, Dawn brought a series of exciting English lessons to the students. She is a creator of Japanese culture and Asian culture. She combined the cultural differences between China and the United States and other ethnic groups in the classroom，to expand the horizons of children.

我校参加课堂观摩的教师谈到，这是纯美式的授课方式，互动非常频繁，她不断激励学生尝试回答问题，绝不放弃一个学生。

The teacher who attended the class in our school said that this is a purely American way of teaching. The interaction is very frequent. She constantly encourages students to try to answer questions and never give up a student.

除了文化课之外，Dawn还邀请她的丈夫作为搭档，给同学们展示了Tango和Salsa两种舞蹈的魅力，孩子们也跟着有模有样地学起来。学习国外流行的舞蹈，对于将来孩子们出国后融入当地生活无疑是十分有益的。

In addition to the cultural class, Dawn also invited her husband as a partner to show the charm of the Tango and Salsa dances, and the children learned the same way. Learning foreign popular dances is undoubtedly very beneficial for children to integrate into the local life after going abroad.

这里特别介绍一下salsa舞，它是起源于美国的一种流行舞蹈。古巴风格salsa源于街头，人们伴着音乐翩翩起舞，自由派对，空气中弥漫着欢乐和喜悦。现流行欧美和世界的salsa是美国纽约salsa。美国纽约salsa和古巴salsa有本质不同，纽约salsa是一小节4拍，跳3步，第4拍停顿不跳，特点是欢快热烈，舞蹈动作花样繁多，变化快，具有很强的欣赏性和表演性。全身心投入，身体的每一部分都充满了激情与活力，纽约跳法目前是主要跳法。古巴salsa，古巴跳法每小节4拍跳4步，第4拍点地，特点风趣和自娱自乐成分较多，比较而言，纽约三步跳法更激情更有魅力和更富有活力。
