诗人艾青在《我的思念是圆的》一诗中写道：“八月中秋的月亮/也是最亮最圆的/无论山多高、海多宽/天涯海角都能看见它/在这样的夜晚/会想起什么?”中天月圆，五谷丰登，家人团聚，民族团结。沉淀在中华儿女心中的团圆意识和家国情怀，此刻也变得愈发浓烈。

从美达菲的传统项目“烛光晚会”到中秋国庆，上海美达菲学校这个其乐融融的大家庭也一直在追梦筑梦的路上。开学**个月，每一位同学和教职员工都在以行动演奏着最为动人的旋律。

课程：我们在创新

秋天又是一个新的开端。我们不光迎来了9-12年级的新老同学，还在原来的基础上，新增了许多新的课程。

This autumn has been an exciting time at the MacDuffie School Shanghai. Not only have we welcomed new students from across grades 9-12 to the MacDuffie family, we are also proud to be able to offer a wealth of new subjects for our campus this semester.

上海美达菲学校新学期

9年级和10年级的增幅**，现在已将经济学，音乐，戏剧，心理学和人文学科纳入课程体系。在美国课程中，同学们还可选择EAP(学术英语)和生物。另外，我们还为IB课程提供了更加多元化的选择。

Grades 9 and 10 have seen the most additions with introduction to Economics, Music, Drama, Psychology and Humanities now forming part of their curriculum. In the American Curriculum, EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and Biology are now available and we are delighted to be able to offer our widest range of choice in subjects in the IB Diploma.

在这一个月里，同学们都满怀热情，投入到新学科的学习中，并在AC，CTC和IB DP的这三个课程中都有着出色的表现。

As expected, our students have responded enthusiastically to these new subjects and what’s more academic performance has remained high across the three programs of AC, CTC and IB DP.

管理：井然有序

为了进一步加强学生在校行为规范的教育与管理，提升学校整体的素质，在李校长的带领下，学生发展中心每周组织学生开展一次全校学生行规教育的学习，对于开学后多次违反校纪校规的学生，进行了严肃的处理;对于表现良好，在学生当中能起到模范带头作用的学生也予以鼓励与表彰。

In order to further strengthen student management and improve the overall quality of our school, the Student Development Center organizes students to conduct moral education once a week under Principal Li's guidance. On the one hand, the school gave consequences to students who repeatedly violated the discipline code. On the other hand, the school gave awards to students with outstanding performance and leadership.

另外，9月份完成了第六届学生会的选举**，全校师生参与了投票活动，有7名同学入围，他们成为了新一届的学生会成员。10月份开始，他们将引领全校学生开展各项活动。

In addition, the election of the 6th Student Union was completed in this September. All the teachers and students participated in the voting activities. Seven students became members of the new Student Union. In the following semester, they will lead other students to actively engage in various kinds of activities.

本学期由于增加了不少新生，学校为生活区增添了洗衣机和烘干机，生活老师还会现场教他们如何使用，使学生在校生活更加便捷。

Due to the increasing number of new students, our school has added washing machines and dryers in the living area. Life teachers also taught students how to use these machines in person. All these changes will make students' school life more convenient.

活动：传承发展

烛光晚会，教师节活动，校园俱乐部，以及中秋国庆晚会等等活动，将传统的沉稳与现代的活力交织在一起，构成了一幅和谐而美好的图景。

Candlelight, Teacher’s Day activities, school clubs, and the celebration party for Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. All these events combined tradition with modern, which formed a harmonious and beautiful picture.

体育活动

“我的思念是圆的/西瓜，苹果都是圆的/团聚的人家是欢乐的。”在这样的夜晚，我们会想起什么?
