上海美达菲学校为了让新生更好的融入集体，增加师生间的了解，本着“集体”“正直”“尊重”“创造力”“领导力”“卓越”6大核心价值观开展本次新生营活动。

上海美达菲学校2020年秋季学期新生营

为期3天的营会里，**天学生们在清晨7:00左右，便已经在校园集合，他们穿着印有“美达菲logo”的深红色T恤衫，背着去往营地的行李，眼睛里满是光亮。

On the first day of the three-day camp, students gathered on campus around 7:00 am, wearing dark red T-shirts emblazoned with the Logo of Macduffie and carrying their luggage to the camp, their eyes full of light.

我们无法准确说明这3天来说对于他们意味着什么，但从与他们的聊天中，我们听到最多的是他们喜欢这里，喜欢新生营。

We can't say exactly what those three days meant to them, but what we heard most from our conversations with them was that they liked it here and liked freshman camp.

丰富多彩的营地活动Colorful camp activities

营地老师们早早就在等待孩子们的到来。

这是很多孩子**次离家，**次集体生活。一些孩子会想家，一些孩子会不适应，但通过参加这次新生营，孩子们都在慢慢成长，慢慢融入集体生活。

This is the first time many children have left home,The first time to live together.Some children get homesick,Some kids don't fit in,But by going to freshman camp,The children are growing up,Slowly integrate into the collective life.

不但有各种体育运动：帐篷搭建、射箭、飞盘、躲避球、gaga球、皮划艇、攀岩、马术;还有冰淇凌社交、 CS模拟枪战、木工、手工艺术等等。

There are not only various sports: tent building, archery, frisbee, dodgeball, Gaga ball, kayaking, rock climbing, equestrian; There's ice cream socializing, CS shooting simulators, woodworking, craft art, and more.

很多学生从最开始的不敢尝试到最后自己积极独立完成每个项目，发现乐趣，自我挑战...每项运动挑战都是成长路上一次次质的飞跃。

“I can do it.”在木工和手工课上，很多学生都完成了属于自己的作品，拿到老师面前的时候，成就感满满向大家展示，而且在全英文的活动中，很多孩子英文水平也有了提高。

最安静却又具有仪式感的篝火(Campfire)，是对营地精神比较好的诠释。当问到对这次新生营的感受，一些同学总结的非常精辟。

集体—来到陌生的地方我们不会紧张，因为我们是一个团队。

创造力—发挥想象力，把内心想表达和展示的动手制作出来。

领导力—每个team都有一个组长，如何让每个组员发挥出自己的优势很关键。

卓越—坚持和不断尝试。所有挫折都是前进的基础和动力。既然选择了美达菲，就选择了卓越之路。
